17th China Cruise Industry Development Conference Concludes on High Note

The 17th China Cruise Industry Development Conference successfully wrapped up in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, after three days of insightful discussions, forums, and exhibitions. Industry leaders praised the government’s supportive policies, fostering growth in the sector.

The conference, themed “Building New Cruise Productivity and Writing a New Chapter of Maritime Power,” brought together over 500 attendees, including cruise managers from 13 countries and regions, business representatives from upstream and downstream industries, and scholars.

Hosted by China Cruise and Yacht Alliance and China Association of Communication and Transportation, the event featured a range of forums and exhibitions, including the Policy and Economic Forum, Industry Leaders Forum, and Asia Cruise Port Forum.

During the conference, the Cruise and Yacht Branch of China Association of Communications and Transportation issued the “2023-2024 China Cruise Industry Report” and “China Cruise Industry (Tianjin Binhai) Initiative.” Cooperative agreements were also signed with Beijing Agricultural Products Distribution Association and China Maritime Service Centre.

The conference also witnessed the launch of the first international cruise ship exhibition, showcasing cruise ship supply. High-quality agricultural products and food enterprises from 16 provinces participated, conducting procurement negotiations with domestic and foreign cruise companies.

Industry leaders praised the government’s role in promoting policies that favor the industry. The conference has become a vital platform for China’s cruise industry to share new policies, achievements, and trends.

Since its inception in 2006, the China Cruise Industry Development Conference has been held in various cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Xiamen, Sanya, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.

This year’s conference has set the stage for further growth and development in China’s cruise industry, with a focus on building new cruise productivity and writing a new chapter of maritime power.
