People’s Education Press (PEP) President Huang Qiang expressed his delight in joining a virtual book donation ceremony, where PEP donated over 900 volumes of international Chinese learning textbooks and English editions of Chinese culture books to Nigeria’s “Chinese Corners”.
The donation aims to support the development of Chinese language education in Nigeria and promote cultural exchange between the two countries. PEP selected the books based on the needs of the “Chinese Corners” in Nigeria, which provide a platform for Nigerian youth to learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture.
In the words of President Huang Qiang, “China-Nigeria friendship, everlasting as the heavens and the earth. May the Chinese Corners continue to thrive and may the friendship between the peoples of China and Nigeria be as enduring as the mighty flows of the Nile and the Yangtze River!”
The book donation ceremony highlights the growing cooperation between China and Nigeria in education and culture. PEP’s initiative is seen as a significant contribution to the development of China-Nigeria relations, particularly in the areas of educational exchanges and people-to-people diplomacy.
The “Chinese Corners” initiative is a collaborative effort between the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria and the FCT Secondary Education Board to promote Chinese language learning and cultural exchange.
PEP’s donation is part of its efforts to support educational development in Nigeria and promote China-Nigeria friendship, aligning with the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Summit. The donation ceremony highlights the growing cooperation between China and Nigeria in education and culture, and is expected to have a positive impact on people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
