Beijing, China – In a significant speech, Chinese Premier Li Qiang outlined the country’s ambitious targets for 2025, focusing on sustainable growth, social development, and environmental protection.
The Premier’s speech, which was delivered at a key meeting, highlighted China’s commitment to rebuilding trust and enhancing cooperation in the economic field. He proposed five key areas for cooperation, including strengthening macroeconomic policy coordination, promoting international industrial specialization and collaboration, and enhancing cooperation on green development.

Key Targets for 2025
The Premier outlined several key targets for 2025, including:
GDP Growth: A growth rate of around 5% is expected, with a focus on high-quality development and economic restructuring.
Unemployment Rate: The government aims to keep the unemployment rate at around 5.5%, with a focus on creating new urban jobs and promoting entrepreneurship.
Inflation: The consumer price index (CPI) is expected to rise by around 3%, with a focus on maintaining price stability and controlling inflation.
Energy Consumption: The government aims to reduce energy consumption per unit of GDP by around 3%, with a focus on promoting energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
Grain Output: China’s grain output is expected to reach around 650 million tonnes, with a focus on ensuring food security and promoting sustainable agriculture.
The Premier also highlighted China’s commitment to opening up and creating a favorable business environment. He emphasized the importance of attracting foreign investment, promoting trade, and fostering a market-oriented, law-based, and world-class business environment.
