ECOWAS Commission President Bids Farewell to Outgoing EU Ambassador

In a warm and cordial ceremony, H.E. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, received Ms. Samuela Isopi, the outgoing European Union (EU) Ambassador to ECOWAS and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The meeting marked the end of Ambassador Isopi’s diplomatic mission, during which she played a pivotal role in strengthening ECOWAS-EU relations.

President Touray expressed his deep appreciation for Ambassador Isopi’s tireless efforts in boosting cooperation between ECOWAS and the EU. He acknowledged her significant contributions to the region’s economic and political development, citing her dedication and commitment to the partnership.

The President was joined by Ambassador Abdel-Fatau Musah, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, and Mr. Mambury Njie, Advisor for Economic and Financial Integration, in bidding farewell to Ambassador Isopi. They collectively thanked her for her service and wished her all the best in her future endeavors.
