Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has presented the letter of reinstatement to the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.
During the presentation on Friday, the governor stated, “We are reinstating Sanusi because we believe he was wrongfully victimized in 2019. We also return him as the rightful Emir of Kano to continue his beneficial work for the people of Kano.”
Discussing the legislative process that led to Sanusi’s reinstatement, the governor emphasized, “Once a bill is signed into law, it becomes law, and nobody can change that.”
He further added, “Your reappointment is based on our collective belief in your competence, dedication, and commitment to the development of Kano State and its surroundings. As you return to the throne of the Kano Emirate, let your actions be guided by the teachings of Islam, for which you are well known.”
Governor Yusuf also urged Sanusi to reunite the family of Ibrahim Dabo and to work towards unifying Islamic sects, ensuring they come together as one community of Allah’s worshippers.
