The National Productivity Centre (NPC) has honoured Dr. Nasir Olaitan Raji-Mustapha, its immediate past Director-General, with a sendforth ceremony in recognition of his dedicated service to the Centre and Nigeria. The event celebrated Dr. Raji-Mustapha’s contributions to improving productivity and national development during his tenure.

The ceremony, held at the NPC headquarters, was attended by key stakeholders, including former Director-General Dr. Kashim Yunusa Akor, management staff, and special guests. Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, the current Director-General, hosted the event and praised Dr. Raji-Mustapha’s visionary leadership and commitment to excellence.

Dr. Dan’Agundi expressed gratitude to Dr. Raji-Mustapha for his service and acknowledged the foundation he laid for the Centre’s continued success. “I have built on the legacy transferred to me from you and Dr. Akor,” he said. Dr. Akor also commended Dr. Raji-Mustapha’s integrity and contributions to the Centre’s growth.

During a press briefing, Dr. Dan’Agundi highlighted the importance of proper reward systems in boosting productivity. “Lack of proper reward systems kills productivity,” he noted. To address this, the Centre has introduced incentives to enhance staff performance, including a promise to provide cars as parting gifts to retiring Heads of Department.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of a car as a parting gift to Dr. Raji-Mustapha. Cars were also presented to a recently retired Director, Mrs. Rosemary Omoyeme Esekhagbe, and a soon-to-be-retired Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Titilola Oshati. Certificates of Service and Awards of Honour were also presented to recent retirees.

Dr. Raji-Mustapha expressed his appreciation and reaffirmed his commitment to Nigeria’s productivity and development. He commended Dr. Dan’Agundi on his initiatives and urged him to prioritize staff welfare and complete the Condition of Service.

The sendforth ceremony was a fitting tribute to Dr. Raji-Mustapha’s exemplary service and leadership, inspiring continued dedication among NPC staff and stakeholders.
