The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) has unveiled a revised Service Charter themed “A Renewed Commitment to Service Excellence”. The launch, which took place on September 3, 2025, at PTAD’s Headquarters in Abuja, underscores the Directorate’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in delivering services under the Defined Benefit Pension Scheme (DBS).

The Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, commended PTAD for setting new standards in public service delivery. “Pensioners deserve unwavering commitment to their welfare and dignity,” she emphasized, highlighting the importance of the revised Service Charter in strengthening confidence between pensioners and government institutions.¹
PTAD’s Executive Secretary, Tolulope Odunaiya, described the revised charter as “a covenant with our pensioners and stakeholders,” embodying the Directorate’s determination to deliver services with empathy, timeliness, and professionalism.
The Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, praised PTAD’s collaborative spirit within Nigeria’s pension ecosystem, noting that the revised Service Charter complements PenCom’s mandate to safeguard pension assets.
Representatives from SERVICOM, the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), and pension unions commended PTAD’s efforts, urging the Directorate to remain resolute in upholding its standards and commitments to pensioners.
The revised Service Charter marks a significant step towards enhancing the lives of Nigeria’s senior citizens, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. With this initiative, PTAD aims to provide quicker, more reliable, and people-centred services to pensioners across the country.
