Ras Mubarak, a Ghanaian politician and pan-Africanist, has embarked on a road trip across Africa to promote unity and a visa-free policy for all Africans. In a recent Facebook post, Mubarak expressed his gratitude to the Rwandan people and government for their hospitality during his visit. He praised Rwanda as a shining example of what is possible in Africa, citing its rapid development and visa-free policy for all African citizens.
Mubarak emphasized that Rwanda’s leadership is “intentional” and that its citizens have bought into the vision, leading to significant progress. He also commended Rwanda for opening up its borders, benefiting immensely from increased trade and exchange. Mubarak contrasted this with Western criticisms, suggesting that Africa must work together to achieve freedom and prosperity, free from external interference.
The road trip, now 86 days old, has covered 20 countries, with Kenya being the 21st destination. Mubarak thanked his partners, sponsors, and the media for their support, acknowledging their crucial role in promoting African unity. He also expressed gratitude to Ghana’s High Commission in Kigali for their assistance.
Mubarak’s journey aims to encourage African governments to adopt a visa-free policy, promoting unity, job creation, and economic growth. He believes that Africans must work together to build a better future, building on the legacy of their forebears who fought for independence.
